Although motorhome and campervan rentals in Germany are considerably
less expensive than anywhere else in Europe,
a great advantage of renting a France-based camper instead is that
you can pick-up the vehicle smack dab in, say, the warm and sunny Côtes d'Azur
(Nice) — which location, please note, being
virtually adjacent to the Italian border, is a good place to start and end a tour
of Italy.
You can also do a one-way rental between, say, Paris and Nice.

The France Group E motorhomes
come with a television and sophisticated GPS system, featuring best-route
navigation, moving on-screen map, and voice prompts (in the language of your
choice). To our knowledge, these are the only
motorhome rentals in Europe that come with GPS.

All the vehicles are modern, secured, and continually upgraded
— no vehicle being more than two model years old, and 80 percent of the fleet
being renewed each year.
Pick-up must take place at either Paris, Nice, Ajaccio (on Corsica), Lyon,
Marseille, Montpellier,
or Toulouse. Long before the pick-up date, we will send
detailed directions to you regarding the pick-up location. Except at Paris, you will have to
make your own way to that location by taxi or by another form of transport.
As for return, you will receive detailed
directions upon pick-up.
The pick-up and return locations are open
Monday–Saturday (although Lyon and Toulouse are closed Monday mornings).
At Paris only, private transport is available from/to the international
airports, the Gare du Nord train station (where the EUROSTAR arrives/departs), other
Paris train stations, and hotels in the city center (downtown).
Alternatively, you can park your car securely at the pick-up location free
of charge for the duration of the camper rental.
For non-one-way rentals, the vendor will store luggage and other valuables free of charge.
The France-based motorhomes and campervans can
be taken by ferry to the Mediterranean islands, to Greece, to
Scandinavia, and to the United Kingdom (perhaps
via the Channel Tunnel) and Ireland.
