The pick-up locations are all in Spain:
Barcelona,
Madrid, and Malaga.
One-way rentals between those depots entail a minimum 10-day duration and a one-way fee of EUR250.
One-ways to Seville and other major Spanish cities entail the same 10-day minimum duration and one-way fee.
One-way rentals to locations outside Spain are possible but they entail a
minimum 18-day duration and higher one-way fees as described below.
(One way rentals to Spain from outside Spain are not possible;
i.e. pick-up outside Spain is not offered.)
The following one-way fees apply:
to Seville and other major Spanish cities apart from Barcelona, Madrid and Malaga (EUR250),
to Faro (EUR400), Lisbon (EUR400),
to Brussels (EUR500), to Paris (EUR500),
to Frankfurt (EUR550), to Munich (EUR550),
to Bern (EUR550), to Geneva (EUR500),
to Zurich (EUR550), to Milan (EUR500),
to Rome (EUR500), and to Turin (EUR500).
At Barcelona, Madrid and Malaga, pick-up typically
commences at airports, from which a
shuttle will take you free of charge to the rental depot. See the details below.
At Madrid this free shuttle
service is also offered from downtown (i.e. city center) hotels
and rail stations.
These shuttles operate in reverse upon the return occasion.
If you have special items to transport, such as bicycles, surf boards or just a large amount of luggage, please inform IdeaMerge
so the vendor can make special arrangements (which may entail a nominal fee, on the order of EUR20).
No shuttle is offered in connection with returns outside Spain.
In this case, upon the pick-up occasion (or thereafter, per the client's request)
Euromotorhome and the client agree on a return point and time, e.g. a certain hotel in or near the
return city.
Regarding the airport shuttle pick-up process at Barcelona,
the shuttle is called "Rima-Bus". It’s also a hotel shuttle. Thus the meeting points are the same as those
used for the hotel shuttles. The shuttle is a van or mini-bus that carries 13 persons, with enough space
for special luggage. It operates Monday through Friday; on Saturdays clients can take a taxi instead and
Euromotorhome will reimburse them for it, as described below.
Barcelona Meeting Points:
Terminal 1: Parking G (Hotel Bus).
Terminal 2: Technical Area (Bloque Técnico) between the Terminal A and B (Hotel Bus).
East Jet arrivals: Terminal 2-C (Hotel Bus).
The shuttle will be waiting with a poster (on the windshield) bearing the client’s name and “Euromotorhome”.
(There might also be other names posted.)
Barcelona Shuttle Hours:
Monday through Friday 24 hours a day. If a client’s plane arrives before Euromotorhome opens,
they may take the shuttle to the Euromotorhome depot but must wait at the depot until it opens.
Saturday: Taxi. Euromotorhome will pay for the client’s direct taxi ride to the depot upon
presentation of the taxi receipt and a same-day boarding pass. The client must arrive during Euromotorhome's operating hours.
If the client’s party consists of more than four people, Euromotorhome will pay for two taxis maximum.
Euromotorhome will not pay for over-sized luggage.
Euromotorhome will also pay the return taxi to the airport
upon presentation of a same-day flight ticket or boarding pass.
Late Arrivals:
If a client’s flight arrives late, they must immediately call Euromotorhome's headquarters in
Madrid at +34 91 329 0767. For depot directions call the Barcelona depot at +34 93 637 3358.
Drop the +34 if calling in Spain.
Regarding the airport shuttle pick-up process in connection with the other Euromotorhome depots, the Euromotorhome associate waits for the client
at the most natural passage just beyond the baggage claim area. The associate arrives at the airport several
minutes after the flight lands, giving the client time to go through Customs (if a flight from
outside the EU) and to pick-up baggage. For said international flights this process takes about
45 to 60 minutes. If there's a delay in such process, the client is typically able to phone
Euromotorhome or go to meet the associate to let them know what's happening. Indeed the client is obliged
to so notify Euromotorhome in such a case. Flight delays, on the other hand, are of course tracked by
Euromotorhome, if (as required) they've already been provided with the flight details.
The actual pick-up and return locations are open
MondayFriday, 10am2pm and 4pm8pm (7pm NovemberMarch).
On Saturdays during
AprilOctober the depots are open 11:30am1:30pm;
during the rest of the year the depots are closed on Saturdays.
If pick-up is booked for the initial, 10am2pm time window and return is booked for the
later, 4pm8pm (7pm NovemberMarch) time window, the vendor
charges one extra night.
Moreover, if the vendor is obliged to specially open a depot to service a client
i.e. outside the normal hours of operation, including
the necessary time for transfer to/from the airport or other location
the vendor will apply an extra charge: EUR100 if such special service
is completed less than 1.5 hours outside said normal time of operation,
EUR200 if such service is completed that day but more than 1.5 hours outside of
a normal time of operation.
Furthermore, the customer who returns a vehicle late assumes
responsibility for claims made by the subsequent renter against the rental
company due to a consequent delay in their actual pick-up time.
Again, any extension of the rental duration requires prior
authorization by the rental company; and no refunds are offered for early return of the rental vehicle.
Clients may park one private vehicle (per rental) at the pick-up
depot free of charge for the duration of the rental.
The included insurance is effective throughout the entirety of Europe
Western (including Scandinavia) and Eastern, and the UK and Ireland except for Russia,
other former members of the USSR, and any regions experiencing general and
violent political crisis. You are welcome to transport your
rented vehicle by ferry and/or the Channel Tunnel.
Again, see our "Insurance"
page for more details concerning the included insurance.
Generally the minimum rental duration for our Spain rentals is 7 days.
