Van Italy's shuttle transfer from/to Rome Fiumicino (da Vinci) airport or Rome Ciampino airport is available for EUR50 each way.
The shuttle can transport up to 4 adults and 2 bicycles.
Pick-up (or return) is not possible directly at airports, city centers (i.e. downtowns) or rail stations.
The Van Italy depot is open for standard pick-up Monday-Friday 9:00 to 13:00 (i.e. 9 am to 1 pm)
and 16:00 to 19:00 (i.e. 2 pm to 7 pm) and on Saturdays from 9:00 to 12:00 (i.e. 9 am to noon).
There is no surcharge for Saturday pick-up or return.
The depot is open for standard return Monday-Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30 (i.e. 9 am to 10:30 am).
Unless previously agreed, return after 10:30 am entails EUR50 per hour.
A booked afternoon return entails an extra night's worth of cost.
The depot is closed Sundays. For every day that a vehicle is late being returned, a penalty of 4 times the daily rate will be charged.
A thorough explanation and demonstration of the rental vehicle will be provided
upon pick-up. This orientation, together with completion of the relevant
paperwork, requires approximately one hour.
You are welcome to transport your
rented vehicle by ferry and/or the Channel Tunnel.

Generally the minimum rental duration for Van Italy rentals is 3 days.

Buses run every 20 minutes from the Fiumicino airport bus terminal to the Lido di Ostia Centro
metro station 300 meters from the rental depot and 500 meters inland from said hotel.
Trains run from the Fiumicino airport to the city every 20 minutes from
roughly 6:28 am to 0:13 am (12:13 midnight), and from the city to the airport every 20 minutes
from roughly 5:29 am to 21:59 (9:59 pm). The fare is about EUR5 each way.
A special, non-stop express train runs at intervals of 20 minutes and 1 hour,
depending on the time of day; earliest departure to the airport being
7:00 am, latest being 21:15 (9:15 pm); earliest departure to the city being 7:50 am,
latest being 20:05 (8:05 pm); the cost being roughly EUR10 each way.
A late-night bus service operates to/from
Tiburtina Station between roughly 1:00 am and 5:00 am.

The distance between the airport and Rome downtown is 40 km and 40 minutes;
typically the cost of this trip via taxi is EUR50.
Many clients choose to travel from Florence to Rome to pick-up their motorhome.
The typical rail journey between Florence Santa Maria Novella (SMN) rail station
and Rome Fiumicino airport takes 2 hours 30 minutes and costs EUR40.

The Sita/Ataf "Fly by Bus" service connects Florence's Amerigo Vespucci
airport to Florence's SMN rail station: 20 minutes, EUR8. Here are links to the

The vendor provides storage of clients' luggage at their depot free of charge (but at the
clients' risk). However, clients may not park
a car at the depot during the rental.
