The pick-up/return depot is located just outside Reykjavik, Iceland,
about 5 km from Keflavik international airport (KEF). See the interactive Google Map below.
The depot is only open 1 May through 30 September. Which is to say,
pick-up and return must occur in that seasonal, five-month time span.
Included in the rental rate is transfer from and/or to Reykjavik's Keflavik international airport (KEF).
Regarding the airport shuttle pick-up process in general, the Touring Cars associate waits for the client
at the most natural passage just beyond the baggage claim area. The associate arrives at the airport several
minutes after the flight lands, giving the client time to go through Customs, if the flight is indeed from
outside the European Union, and to pick-up baggage. For said international flights this process takes about
45 to 60 minutes. If there's a delay in such process, the client is typically able to phone
Touring Cars or go to meet the associate to let them know what's happening. Indeed the client is obliged
to so notify Touring Cars in such a case. Flight delays, on the other hand, are of course tracked by
Touring Cars, if (as required) the client has already provided those details.
The vendor also offers transfer
from/to the corresponding city locations (hotels, etc),
but this transfer costs EUR79 each way.
You cannot park a car at the rental depot for the duration of the motorhome rental.
Pick-up and return are possible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
However, pick-up or return between 6 pm (18:00 hours) and 8 am (08:00 hours) entails an extra EUR149 fee;
if both the pick-up and return occur during those hours, the fee will be charged twice.
Our software will include such fee in the total it presents to you.
Conversely, returns booked for 8 am
(800 hours) through 11 am (1100 hours) qualify for an EUR50 discount.
