Reservations may be made for a particular vehicle category (i.e., "group") only, not for a specific vehicle. In the very unlikely event that a vehicle in the reserved group is not available upon the pick-up date, the rental company reserves the right to substitute a comparable or larger vehicle with the same equipment. In this case there will be no additional charge for a larger vehicle. Should a smaller vehicle be offered and accepted, the difference in price between the two vehicles will be credited to the customer. If, however, the provision of a bigger vehicle results in higher ancillary costs, such as ferry charges and tolls or operating costs, such costs are borne by the customer.
None of the vehicles available for pick-up in Denmark have air-conditioning.
All the vehicles available for pick-up in Denmark have a manual transmission.
A security downpayment of EUR670 will be charged to the client's credit card by IdeaMerge upon booking. Of course this amount will be appropriately returned to the client after the rental duration. Any parking or speeding fines will be deducted from this amount. A vehicle returned with a messy interior will entail for the client a modest cleaning fee. Most importantly, the vehicle should be returned with empty waste water tank and empty and clean toilet tank.
A thorough explanation and demonstration of the rental vehicle will be provided upon pick-up. This orientation, together with completion of the relevant paperwork, requires approximately one hour.
The standard is for clients to pick-up on a Friday and return on a Friday. However, pick-up or return on other weekdays outside of the high season can be accommodated and our online reservation software does process such days. Pick-up or return on weekends is not allowed.
Unless otherwise agreed, vehicle pick-up occurs from 3 pm to 5 pm on the first day of a rental duration. Vehicle return, on the other hand, should occur by 11 am on the last day of the rental duration. If a client returns a vehicle after 11 am, the client is charged EUR40 per hour or per partial hour. The staggering of return and pick-up is neccessary so that a vehicle returned on a certain day can be prepared for another client to pick-up later that same day.
The vehicle will be delivered with a full tank of fuel. (Likewise it should be returned with a full tank.) The water tank, propane bottles, and toilet chemical repository will also be full. Toilet paper will be provided. The interior and exterior will be clean, and the toilet tank will be empty of waste. Likewise the vehicle should be returned clean, with empty waste water tank and empty and clean toilet tank. Vehicles returned in an unclean condition may entail for the client a nominal cleaning fee. Most importantly, the vehicle should be returned with empty waste water tank and empty and clean toilet tank.
Cooking utensils, dishes, cutlery, bicycle carrier (for 3 bicycles), sun canopy, and list of campgrounds in Scandinavia are included by default at no extra charge. Also included in the cost are 2000 km/week. Extra kilometers are charged at 0.27 Euros/km. However, rentals whose duration is 3 weeks or more qualify for unlimited kilometers. There is no charge for additional drivers.
The included insurance is effective throughout Europe, except for the Baltic states, Poland, Romania and Russia. Of course a client is welcome to transport his or her rented vehicle by ferry and/or by the Channel Tunnel to England.
