Bounded almost entirely by the sea and consequently punctuated with myriad beaches and elegant modern windmills, the gently rolling land of Denmark is moreover host to a multitude of back roads which address countless grassy fields burgeoning with wild flowers and marked by nifty farms and churches, mysterious ancient tumuli, proud copses, and, of course, plenty of inviting campgrounds. It all amounts to a motorhomer's and, we might add, a bicyclist's delight. And this not to mention Copenhagen, one of Europe's most enjoyable capitals. Connected now by bridge to Sweden, Denmark is more than ever the gateway to Scandinavia, with ferries of course continuing to ply the old routes within Denmark as well as to and from Germany, Norway, Sweden and beyond. Last but not least, visitors to Denmark do not have to pay tax on their motorhome rental!
