Persons who can claim legal residence outside the European Union, who are 18 years of age or older and have had a valid drivers license for at least one year qualify for a tax-free, short-term (17-day minimum) auto lease. No maximum age limit applies. Tourists qualify for up to 175 days. Students, teachers, journalists, trainees, or employees undertaking a clearly defined mission in Europe and not normally residing in a European Union country might qualify for up to 360-days. Simply put, the lease plan is designed for visitors.

The insurance—consisting of civil liability, non-deductible comprehensive, collision, theft, vandalism, fire, and act-of-God coverage—and the factory warranty are air tight.
