You can print and complete this form and fax it to
IdeaMerge at USA 503 296 2625. (The form must be completed
by hand; it cannot be completed online.)
This document
is the one document required — in addition to your order info — to "get the ball rolling";
it is essentially power of attorney form whereby you give Renault the right
to register in your name a vehicle in France.
Here are some comments to help you complete the form:
- Make
sure to complete all the areas in the Passport section. (The “City
of Issuance” field may read a city name or simply “National Passport Center,”
whichever appears
on your passport.)
- You are
not required to populate the “address during stay in France/Europe”
field; you can simply write the word “hotels” or leave the field blank, if
indeed you, like most travelers, will not be at a single, chief address
during your time in Europe.
- You
should indicate the purpose of your trip by checking the “Tourist”
box on the middle-left-hand side of the page — unless of course you
are applying for the extended, so-called “TT-Special” lease designed for
persons performing a paid assignment or studying abroad, or unless
you will be traveling with a non-tourist European visa in your
passport (in which latter case, please contact IdeaMerge presently to
discuss your plans). Note: most tourists do not need a visa to visit a
European country.
- Please sign
the form in the bottom right corner box. And in or below this box write “READ, APPROVED AND AUTHORIZED.”
- In this
same box, the “at” and “on” refer respectively to the “location/city” and
“date” the form is signed by you.
- There
is no need to populate the number of days in the section above the
signature box which reads, “I apply for a TT registration for X-number of
days,” this even if you are applying for such special lease.
- Lastly,
print and sign your name at the bottom where the form reads,
“I, the undersigned….”. Yes, in total you must sign the form twice.
And, yes, you must here again write “READ,
APPROVED AND AUTHORIZED.”
