Braking is crisp and precise, and the power-assisted steering adapts to 
suit the speed of the car. ABS, combined with electronic brake 
distribution (EBD) and Emergency Brake Assist, makes full use of the 
power and efficiency of the four disc brakes. If a sudden loss of grip 
occurs, ESP corrects the path of the vehicle so that complete control is 
maintained.  
 
Mégane Hatch was awarded the maximum 5-star rating by the 
independent consortium Euro NCAP.  
 
A full 95% of the weight of Mégane Hatch can be recycled. Mégane is 
the first Renault programme to take into account the requirements of 
Life-cycle Environmental Management.
