Some of IdeaMerge's competitors charge a credit card transaction fee, whereby they
largely pass on to you the processing fees that Visa, MasterCard, American Express and the like impose on merchants.
IdeaMerge charges no such fee.
Typically said competitors do not include that fee in the total motorhome rental price they quote to you;
rather they calculate the fee as a percentage of that total, mentioning it deep within their terms and conditions —
and/or in a similarly hidden fashion — and as a general percentage only.
Chief among our comptetitors engaged in that misleading practice is Motorhome Republic, headquartered in New Zealand,
which company charges a 1.75% credit card transaction fee and does not include it in the total prices they quote.
Moreover, Motorhome Republic, formerly known as
iMall Brands Ltd, is spamming the web
with countless websites named differently but selling the same motorhome rentals.
What's more, they present not only the real RV rental brands offered by vendors (e.g. McRent, Road Bear);
they also make up brands which don't really exist. Among their bogus brands are
"Pure", "Big Sky", "Compass", "Real Value", "Star Drive" and "Enviro Wohnmobil".
They price those bogus brands lower, but we think they do that to bait-and-switch you over to the
actual brand.
Is that the kind of company you want to deal with?
At IdeaMerge, customer service is more than a concept — it's an ethic.
